Cally Trench's board games
|
Shopping Spree (2011), an original board game by Cally Trench, is a complex game of chance in which players are compelled to buy large numbers of consumer goods, risking debt; their lives are controlled by chance events. |

Players initially assume that the consumer goods - represented by cute colourful models - that they are forced to buy will help them win, but they soon realise that their purchases are of no value in the game. The winners are simply those who get to the end of the spiral path while remaining in credit. Those in debt lose, and they have to make a gruesome choice when they reach the centre. |
