Jacqueline Ashmore, Band No.3, 2006
Acrylic on board, 20 x 25 cm
The starting point for Jacqueline Ashmore's work are photographs, diagrams and models of her surroundings. From these images and constructions, small paintings, drawings and prints are made. Each work possesses elements of simulation and modelling as well as associations triggered by the place, the images and the constructions. Through making the work, knowledge is either accumulated or destabilised and each piece evidences this.
Jacqueline Ashmore lives and works in London. She studied Visual Art at Chelsea College of Art (BA Hons).
