366 hours in one minute. A Year of Hands is made up of 366 drawings of my hands in ink on watercolour paper, drawn every day for one hour, life-size, from life, using both hands, from 5th August 2023 to 4th August 2024. I chose the position of my hands each day to depict a series of commonplace movements. The sound, which I created from instruments, toys and vocalisations, echoes the stroking and tapping movements of my hands. Completion date: 15th August 2024. [60 seconds] |
