Goodbye (2023) is a very short animation film in which a woman experiences grief and a transformation; the starting point is an ink and pastel drawing by Cally of her own face. Sound and animation by Cally Trench. [40 seconds] Completion date: 10th April 2023.

Goodbye was an Official Selection in the Life Screenings One Minute Film Festival - November 2023. Curated by Banks Helfrich. Screened via Facebook on Saturday 2th November 2023, including participation by Cally Trench in a Q&A with the curator.

Goodbye was an Official Selection in the 2023 Newcastle International Short Film Festival, with a live screening at the Royal Exchange Hybrid Theatre, Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia, on 17th and 18th November 2023.

Goodbye was an Official Selection in the 2023 Screaming Ostrich International Film Festival, with a live screening in the 'Animations' section at the West Newton Cinema, West Newton, Massachusetts, USA, on 14th October 2023.

Goodbye was an Official Selection in Unthinkable, a new film festival based in Hull, with a live screening on 13th October in Godber Studio, Hull Truck Theatre. Goodbye was also shown on loop, alongside others, in Unthinkable's exhibition screening space down Whitefriargate in Hull city centre, 12th-22nd October 2023.

Goodbye was a Finalist in the 2023 Shiver International Film Festival.
