Dancing (2023) is a very short animation film by Cally Trench in which a Bird appears, dances and departs. The Bird is based on a linocut print by the artist. The sound, created by Cally Trench using vocalisations and musical instruments, is a homage to Jacques Offenbach. Completion date: 21st June 2023. [1 minute 10 seconds]

Dancing was an Official Selection in the 2023 Tees Valley International Film Festival, with a live screening in the Showcase of Best Animation Selections on 27th October 2023 at ARC Stockton Arts Centre.

Dancing was shown in Stand Up Cinema: Short Film Evening at the Rising Sun Arts Centre, Reading, on 8th September 2023.

Dancing was included in a showreel in In The Likeness of Birds: Recent works by Annie Rapstoff, Monika Tobel and Cally Trench, an exhibition at The North Wall Arts Centre, Oxford (July 2023).
